Major Update #3 : Open Alpha
Good day to you Commanders,
We would like to thank you all for the support you provided, we now arrive at the live testing phase.
Our objective now is to fine-balance ships and weapons to have a good starting basis for the upcoming addition of ships.
Additionally, we implemented certain Perks that are available for you for testing.
We hope this update will allow you all to try the game and find out it's balancing failures (and we do know there are).
Changes & Updates
- Added Perks and VFX :
- CLOAKING DEVICE
- RETREAT
- Balanced Perk values :
- Berserker (now adds 1% of damage per consecutive hit)
- Reactive armor ( now 0.5% additional ARMOR per Structure point loss )
- Added Ships :
- SHREDDER : Level 5 hit and run assassin using RETREAT Perk and Kinetic guns
- SHARD : Level 1 Sniper
- LEECH : Level 2 Zoner
- TICODERONGA : Level 4 Warrior Frigate
- Improved UI :
- Adjusted multi-resolution
- Reworked Tutorial to highlight the different UI elements while explaining
- Added Speed control buttons (now you can accelerate up to 4x time)
- New Icons : (Neutral design for better visibility)
- Specialists types
- Weapons
- Improved stability
- Reduced IA Pathfinding iterations (started to be very laggy with a lot of ships on the field)
- Separate navpath for each ship class to allow better stacking
- General Balancing :
- Reviewed Price of ships and armor /HP Values globally
- Change credits gain curves to fit new balancing model
- Set all Waves to 1 to ensure less uncontrollable leaking
- Reduced Mothership and escort Armor, Shield and structure to allow early game wins
- Increase the ship Price malus now being 25% (before was 10%)
- Removed one line of defense (Beta Cruisers are off for a walk)
